UROC Victory and WE Rock 2nd Place for Bulloch/Munford
in two-week Nationwide Rock Fest
Cedar
City, Utah – (July 17, 2005) On
Track Krawler Team took to the nation’s highways
in search of adding hardware to the team trophy case
at DP Performance in Cedar City, Utah. And once again
they accomplished their goals with a UROC Pro National
win and a World Extreme Series 2nd place finish. UROC
and Supercrawl Defending Champions – Dean Bulloch
and Karl Munford left Cedar City, Utah on July 4th,
2005 and headed to Portland, Indiana where they competed
in Round 4 of the UROC Pro National Series.
Facing the
toughest competition in professional rockcrawling, the
BFGoodrich/MAC Tools sponsored team arrived to Indiana
and wasted no time in evaluating the man made rock garden
that was just completed at the XPLEX. The event had
just begun on Friday evening when Bulloch demonstrated
his smooth winning moves to the big crowds at the XPLEX
in Central Indiana. He put his Suzuki Samurai rockcrawler
up the steep technical lines of the rock face that most
spectators didn’t think was possible. By the end
of the first night of competition, he put the On Track
Krawler Team in position for a run at the title on Saturday
evening.
In front
of 8,000 fans, Saturday’s night’s competition
was tight as Bulloch traded rockcrawling barbs with
Team Lovell. However, Bulloch and Munford dissected
the best XPLEX had to offer before taking the lead into
the main event obstacle. Once Bulloch had the lead there
was no turning back for the multi-event winner who watched
all his competition fail to climb the first wall in
the main event obstacle. Using his lowest gear and the
best tires (BFGoodrich Krawlers KX), Bulloch simply
crawled the wall before heading to the second portion
of the final obstacle where he slowly ascended the tallest
mountain top at the XPLEX in capturing yet another UROC
victory.
With their trophy in hand, Bulloch and Munford wasted
no time as they headed west across the United States
to Goldendale, Washington for the World Extreme West
Series event.
The contrasting
event landscape offered a challenge in itself as the
team arrived to Washington ready to compete. From the
man made XPLEX to the forests of the Northwest, On Track
Krawler Team readied for yet another war on the rocks.
Bulloch and
Munford settled into a good pace in the early stages
of the competition; however the blistering pace at which
the leaders, Brian Errea and Joachim Schwiesow, were
scoring negative points was difficult to sustain. By
Sunday afternoon, Bulloch made his final charge towards
a win, but came up shy after scoring +38 points on obstacle
#2 where Errea scored a +9. Bulloch and Munford finished
strong over the rest of the field with a 76 point difference
between second and third position.
After two
weeks on the road traveling across the nation and logging
over 6,000 miles, Bulloch and Munford were victorious
at the UROC Pro National Series event and finished in
second place at the World Extreme West Series event.
Bulloch and Munford continue on their streak towards
yet another winning season for the On Track Krawler
Team.
Bulloch commented,
“This has been a great road trip and with our
continued winning ways we’re hoping it will lead
to a championship at the end of the season. Many thanks
to all of our sponsors because without them we wouldn’t
be able to compete at the level we do. Thank you!”

National Series event in Vernal, Utah on August 12-13th,
2005.
